LDF Statement of Community Involvement
The SCI sets out how individuals, groups and organisations can become involved in preparing/revising policy documents and considering planning applications.
Following two District-wide consultations on the SCI, an independent Inspector (appointed by the Planning Inspectorate) has completed his examination of it and, subject to some very minor amendments, his Report concludes the SCI to be "sound".
The SCI was adopted on 21 April 2006 and is available to view in the main Council Offices and libraries across the District (see below). Or you can download the Adopted SCI (210kb) and the Adoption Statement (20kb) here.
The Inspector's Report (38kb) can be downloaded here or viewed during normal office hours at the following locations:
- Council Offices at Knapping Mount, West Grove Road, Harrogate and Crescent Gardens, Harrogate;
- Knaresborough House, High Street, Knaresborough;
- Town Hall, Market Place, Ripon; and
- Libraries throughout the District.
