The Provision for Village Halls in connection with New Housing Development SPD updated 2007 (50kb) sets out the Council's policy on developer contributions for the provision and enhancement of village halls in association with new housing development. The Council approved adoption of the SPD on 7 June 2006 for implementation as planning policy from 1 august 2006.

This SPD is accompanied by a Sustainability Appraisal (261kb) and a Statement of Consultation (91kb). The latter sets out how representations made at the preferred options consultation stage (see below) have been taken into account in the SPD.

Draft SPD: Provision for Village Halls (Issues & Options)(325kb) and its accompanying Sustainability Appraisal (192kb) were consulted upon in June/July 2005.
