Council Policies & Plans

The Council's policies and plans are designed to have a positive, sustainable impact on the economic, social and environmental conditions in the District, both now and in the future.

The Council is a key member of the Harrogate District Strategic Partnership and is helping to deliver the shared local agenda.  Its first Community Plan (pdf), adopted in October 2003, explains how public, private and voluntary sector organisations work together to improve the quality of life for all who live in, work in or visit the District.
