Harrogate Borough Council

The Council consulted on its preferred option for the Community Sports Regeneration Area Action Plan which aims to maintain and enhance sports facilities in the Claro Road/Kingsley Drive area and investigates the scope for an integrated multi-purpose sports facility.

 

The consultation documents were:

All comments received will be considered by the Council before proceeding to the Submission stage.

 

The Harrogate District Playing Pitch Strategy (page link)  in 2004 assess the current provision and is likely future levels of demand for playing pitches across the whole District.

 

An 'Area Assessment' has recently been completed as a supplement to the above Strategy, and can be downloaded from the links in the following table:

A supplement to the Area Action Plan's Sustainability Appraisal ( 275kb) has also been completed which considers a new site option for the location of Harrogate Rugby Club brought forward by Harrogate Rugby Union Football Club.
