| There are no facilities on site but a series of desire lines and designated footpaths allows for walkers to meander through the woodland at their leisure. |
The site drops steeply from west to east, with an overall fall of approximately 40-50 metres between the eastern and western boundary. The wood is characteristically wet at its lowest points during many of the winter months and newts have been reported in some of these wet areas as well as Roe Deer within the woodland itself.
| The site offers magnificent views to the northwest and east due to its elevation at its westerly point. | |
| Some footpaths are steep and stout footwear is recommended for anybody wanting to take advantage of the woodland walk. |
