Yore Vision Initiatives Fund

The Yore Vision Initiatives Fund is designed to support community groups and initiatives in Boroughbridge and the Lower Ure Valley. Community Groups / organisations can apply to the Initiatives Fund for up to £500. The fund was launched by Yore Vision in the autumn of 2007 and has already made its first grants.

Announcing the winners, Keith Ramsay, Chair of Yore Vision, said, " We recognise that many local projects could be enhanced by our involvement and therefore felt one of the best ways for us to demonstrate this support was to introduce the Initiatives Fund. It is not designed to provide the majority funding for groups or projects but rather to add to the cocktail of finance that many organisations put together to achieve their objectives or to support one-off initiatives. We particularly want to back those ideas that support improving quality of life locally, as that is our own main objective as a partnership. That's why the Christmas Lights Fund in Boroughbridge and Aldborough Village Hall trust were the first two recipients of funding."

Applications for the 2nd round of funding are welcomed by no later than the 30th April with a third round by 31st October 2008.
