Aldborough Forum
This is a proposal for an Arts/Business Forum based in Aldborough, potentially providing a mixed-use venue incorporating a performing arts space, meeting/breakout space for small conferences, and development of adjacent Roman site and museum.
The 'light touch' feasibility study carried out by Right
Angle Management Ltd identified two potential options, one
being a local community facility providing a cultural and business
focus for Aldborough and Boroughbridge, and the other a larger
facility that would have a wider impact.
However, the feasibility study highlighted a number of
substantial risks to the development of the Forum at this point in
time and noted that significant further research is required before
a deliverable project proposal could be put forward.
Yore Vision are now working to build community support
for the project and discussions with stakeholders and partners
across the creative and cultural sectors are
continuing.
