| Located approximately one mile to the northwest of Harrogate, this site is comprised of approximately five acres of mixed evergreen and deciduous woodland. |

Access to the site can be made via the Public Right of Way (PROW) off Oakdale Glen as though heading to the Oakdale Golf Club or via the PROW located between 72 and 72a Kent Road.
|
There are no facilities on site but a series of desire lines and designated footpaths allows for walkers to meander through the woodland at their leisure. The Ramblers Association, in conjunction with Harrogate Borough Council, occasionally volunteer to undertake necessary light repairs to these footpaths when required.
|
The site drops steeply from south to north, with an overall fall of approximately 20-40 metres between the southern and northern boundary. The wood, which contains Oak Beck, is characteristically wet at its lowest points during many of the winter months.
| The site offers magnificent and uninterrupted views to the north, east and west over the Oakdale Golf Course due to its elevation at its southerly point. |
Some footpaths are steep and stout footwear is recommended for anybody wanting to take advantage of this woodland walk.
