There's loads to do and see this summer at the Mercer Art Gallery and the Royal Pump Room Museum.

Visit the Harrogate Open Art Exhibition at the Mercer Art Gallery where you can celebrate art in different media created by talented local artists.

Use the specially created trail to guide you around the exhibition, which will also lead you across the road to the Royal Pump Room Museum where you can discover more about Harrogate and its history.

Also at the Mercer Art Gallery you can visit the seaside in our 'beach' play area where there are activity sheets mto do and toys to play with.

You can also enter our 'Create your own Postage Stamp' competition.

Make 'Summer Felt Craft' greeting cards at a workshop on Wednesday 6th August from 2-30pm, £3 per child.  Booking is advised.

And on Wednesday 13th August just drop in anytime between 1pm and 4pm to make Pipe Cleaner Bugs and Monsters! 50p a go.

At the Royal Pump Room Museum you can
have a go at our 'Little Gems Adventure' by borrowing a backpack with a trail and full of toys to help you explore the museum. And why not 'Guess the Mystery Objects' in our game? (Deposit required, returned on exit).

You can also explore Ancient Egypt in two exhibitions featuring treasures from our Egyptology collection such as mummy masks, canopic jars, jewellery, amulets and shabtis.

There are lots of things to do including dressing up as an Egyptian, writing in hieroglyphs, making jewellery and pretending to be a scientist discovering all about the Ancient Egyptian objects!

And you can make your own mummy hand later in the holidays!
