Visit to Coldstone Cut
A chance to visit Yorkshire's biggest and highest public art work, designed by Andrew Sabin. The event starts with a talk about the art work and its creation by Biddy Noakes, founder of the Nidderdale Visual Arts and continues with a walk up and around the sculpture which overlooks Coldstones Quarry and the spectacular scenery of Nidderdale.
Please note: this does involve a reasonable amount of walking (500yards) abd weather protection and stout shoes are advised! Parking available at the Coldstones Cut car park and Pateley Bridge.

Workshop with Jake Attree
Join Yorkshire Artist Jake Attree, whose work is on show in the exhibition, for this delightful day workshop. Jake will start the day by talking about his own working method, using a portfolio of drawings and sketchbooks, before working with you to engage wth the local landscape - people, buildings and nature - to create drawings using graphite, ink and pencil. All abilities welcome.
Cost: £25 including all materials and refreshments. Please bring a packed lunch or there are many nearby cafes.

The Life and Work of Mark Senior (1862-1927)
Andrew Clay, Director of the Woodend Creative in Scarborough and the great-great-grandson of Mark Senior will give a uniquefamily perspective on this English Impressionist artist, Senior was born in West Yorkshire but spent every spring and summer from the 1880s in Runswick Bay where he studied the local communities and the glorious landscape.
