Online Planning Application Information
|
|
|
"Public Access" for planning is an online service that allows you to view details of planning applications being considered by the Council and determined applications which have been submitted since 1974. |
You can:
- Be notified of a proposed new development, within a specified distance to a property. To do this go to the Map tab, select the area you are interested in, what you would like to be notified about, ie planning applications, then save the search and select yes to be notified of updates.
- Track progress of an application.
- Submit comments on a current application.
- Search a constantly updated list of applications received and decided each week.
- Simple Search - you can put in any key words such as part of an address or a type of development you would be interested in and these will be retrieved.
- View details of many historic applications - including all Decision Notices from 1974 onwards, and view property details by reference to a map.

| Copyright Warning: |
The documents available here have been submitted to the Council in order to apply for planning permission. They are protected by Section 47 of the Copyright Designs and Patents Act 1988. They are being made available to be viewed for consultation purposes only - copies must not be made without the prior permission of the copyright owner (i.e. the applicant or their agent). |
All third party representations whether supporting, objecting or commenting have not been checked for accuracy, are the views only of the author(s) and will be given appropriate weight in the consideration and determination of the application by the Local Planning Authority. Every effort will be made to identify written representations which are racist or defamatory. If any are found they will be removed and have no part in the consideration and determination of the application.
Whilst we will accept representations made via Public Access after the expiry of the consultation period, we cannot guarantee that the decision will not have been made whilst such a representation is being processed.
Only notifications made via Public Access from Friday 1st October 2010 onwards will be accessible on the Comments Tab, those made by post from 1st October 2010 will be accessible on the Documents tab, as will those made between November 2009 - September 2010. Any older comments can be viewed at our offices - please contact Planning Enquiries on 01423 556666.
Even if there is a statement of "There are no comments lodged for this application" on the comments tab - this statement will only apply to comments made via Public Access from 1st October 2010 onwards.

Limitations
Public Access is best viewed using Internet Explorer version 5.5 or above. The reason for this is that Public Access needs to be run in a web browser that supports specific JavaScript functionality. We would recommend a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 (with a minimum resolution of 800 by 600) and at least 256 colours. Different settings may restrict your viewing of Public Access.
Associated documents are available for applications received from August 2005 onwards. You can view all current applications, though it may take up to 5 working days for the documents to become available following registration.
No responsibility will be taken for any errors or omissions in the planning history information obtained from 'Public Access'. Similarly the information contained within 'Public Access' does not constitute in any way a formal notifcation of a planning decision, and as such any actions taken as a result of information displayed on the site are undertaken entirely at the viewers own risk.
Note for Windows XP users.
Windows XP Service Pack 2 has increased security, by stopping pop-up windows. Public Access relies on these to provide you with results and Help. It is recommended that you add the Public Access web page address to the "Allowed Sites" list in the "Exception" settings for the pop-up blocker.
