2010 Revaluation

2010 Revaluation

The Valuation Office Agency (VOA), reviews the rateable values of business properties every 5 years.  The current rateable values, which affect the business rates payable, took effect from 1 April 2010 and are based on a valuation date of 1 April 2008.

Following a general revaluation, transitional arrangements are put in place to phase in significant increases or decreases in rates bills. Transition is calculated automatically and, where applicable, is shown on your bill.

The VOA website (link opens in a new window), allows you to compare valuations against other properties, check your details and advise them of any issues.
