Welcome to Ripon Spa Bath. The foundation stone at Ripon Spa Baths was first laid on 15 July 1904 and was officially opened by Princess Henry of Battenburg on 24 October 1905 as a Spa. The main pool hall was later added in 1936 following demand from the local community. To this day the Baths still serve the community on a daily basis.
We are also home to the Battenburg Suite A wood sauna which combines the benefits of a steam room without the excessive heat and clouds of mist (towels NOT provided). Free swims are available for Battenburg customers, pool timetable permitting.

All staff are fully qualified in accordance with The Royal Lifesaving Society’s (RLSS)regulations and all teachers are Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) Level 1 and 2 qualified swimming teachers.

When do I need to pay for my swimming lessons?
Cash/credit card payments are taken on the last week of term for the following term.
If I am on direct debit do I need to re book in for my childs swimming lessons?
No the pool will automatically rebook you in for the swimming lessons
Can I use my swimming membership at the other HBC pools?
Yes, however there will be a small additional charge at the Hydro.
What is the childrens admission policy?
An adult over the age of sixteen can supervise two children under the age of eight.
Can we use Leeds cards?
No you can only use Leeds cards with Leeds city council
