Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme

Are you ready?

In March 2018 the government announced a £67 million Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme to support the cost of installing faster and more reliable full fibre broadband connections for small to medium-sized businesses and the local communities around them.

With increasing use of cloud-based services (data storage and payroll for example), streamed services, voice and video conferencing, and cyber security measures, today's connectivity speeds may begin to slow under the impact of increased traffic. Gigabit capable connections will allow users to increase download and upload speeds according to their needs well into the future.

Small to medium-sized businesses can claim up to £3,000 against the cost of connection either individually or as part of a group project. Residents can claim a voucher worth £500 as part of a group project.

One gigabit is the same as 1,000 megabits - so it's a big leap forward in connection speeds that could benefit you and your business into the future.
