Harrogate Cycling Delivery Plan

The Cycling Delivery Plan presents an opportunity to work in partnership with the DfT to increase the level of cycling across the country. The schemes presented offer a targeted, deliverable and community led way of increasing and improving walking and cycling infrastructure across Harrogate and Knaresborough and potentially other areas of the district.

Previous Cycling Implementation Plans

Harrogate Cycling Implementation Plan 2013

Harrogate Borough Council adopted the Harrogate and Knaresborough Cycling Implementation Plan in July 2000. At this time the Borough Council was the Highway Agent for the Harrogate and Knaresborough Area acting on behalf of North Yorkshire County Council. The plan identified a proposed network of radial and orbital cycle routes in the urban areas of Harrogate and Knaresborough which formed the basis for the allocation of funding through the North Yorkshire County Council Local Transport Plan during the period 2001 to 2006. The network was updated in 2009 and 2011.
