Home composting is an easy way to reduce your household waste and produce compost for free.

For lots of great ideas and advice about how to make compost and how to use it in your garden, please visit www.northyorks.gov.uk/composting.

You will also find details on how to purchase a low-cost compost bin. The 220-litre and 330-litre bins are called compost converters. They are made from 100% recycled plastic and are guaranteed for 15 years.

Water butts can be purchased from Yorkshire Water.
