North Yorkshire County Council have recently reviewed their on street charges and these were increased from 7 November 2016.  Charges also now apply on street on Sundays (which was previously free of charge) from 14 November 2016.  Any queries regarding these charges should be directed to North Yorkshire County Council since, as the Highway Authority, the County Council sets the on street parking fees.


On street pay and display parking

Harrogate town centre is split into inner and outer pay and display zones.

The streets with pay and display parking are shown in red on the map below.

For the inner zone, charges range from 70 pence for 30 minutes, to £4.20 for three hours. For the outer zone, its costs from 60 pence for 30 minutes to £3.60 for three hours.

Short stay areas

There are also a few streets classed as short stay areas, where you can park for up to 20 minutes for 60 pence and up to 40 minutes for £1.20.

20 minute maximum stay is available in Cambridge Crescent and Princes Street.

40 minute maximum stay is available in part of Cheltenham Crescent, and Oxford Street.

Knaresborough Market Place

Charges and restrictions apply every day from 8am-6pm, including bank holidays, unless otherwise stated.

Up to 20 minutes parking is free (a ticket must be obtained). For two hours, it costs £1.20.
