This is our emergency alarm and monitoring service which helps older and disabled people continue to live in their own home, providing reassurance that help is available, 24 hours a day, if they need it.

It's available to anyone - council tenants, homeowners or those renting privately.

We provide and install a lifeline unit, which plugs into your home telephone point, and a personal alarm pendant that's worn around the neck, clipped onto clothing or as a wrist strap. We can also fit linked sensors such as smoke alarms or carbon monoxide detectors.

If you have an emergency or problem, the team of professional, friendly staff at the call centre answer the call. They automatically know who you are, where you live and will make sure the right help is sent to you.

The service includes monthly welfare contact by one of our Independent Living Officers, usually a home visit but occasionally a telephone call, as well as an emergency response 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

There's a weekly charge for the service, but if you receive housing benefit and/ or council tax reduction you may be eligible for some help.

If you want more information, or you'd like to be considered for the Harrogate Lifeline Service, call 01423 500600 and a free no obligation home demonstration visit can be arranged.
