Ripon Neighbourhood Plan referendum

In accordance with the independent examiner's recommendations, the Ripon Neighbourhood Plan will proceed to a Neighbourhood Planning referendum on the 14 February 2019.

The final Ripon Neighbourhood Plan, incorporating the recommendations of the independent examiner can be found by visiting www.harrogate.gov.uk/downloads/file/4698/ripon_neighbourhood_plan_final_draft_for_referendum.

In order to meet the requirements of the Localism Act 2011, the referendum will pose the question," Do you want Harrogate Borough Council to use the Ripon Neighbourhood Plan to help it decide planning applications in the Ripon Neighbourhood Area?".

Further details, including who is eligible to vote and how, are available at www.harrogate.gov.uk/NPR.

General information on Neighbourhood Plans can be found at neighbourhoodplanning.org. Further information, including how they fit within the planning system can be found with the government's planning practice guidance.
