Bikeability Spring 2018

Want to learn how to ride your bike safely?

Bikeability gives everyone the skills and confidence for all kinds of cycling. It is the only government-recognised cycle training scheme, underpinned by national standards.

Fully trained staff on hand to take you through your paces with a combined Level one and two course (9 years plus).

Level one and two course - 30 and 31 May at The Hydro, Jennyfield Drive, Harrogate, HG1 2HR at 10am until 3pm). £40 per person.

  • level one - new riders learn to control and master their bikes in a space away from traffic such as a playground or closed car park
  • level two - takes place on local streets, giving trainees a real cycling experience. Trainees learn how to deal with traffic on short journeys such as cycling to school or the local shops

Harrogate Hornets Cheerleading

Become a cheerleading star with the Harrogate Hornets!

Cheerleading is a fun and energetic way to keep fit and make new friends. We are looking for new members, whether you have tried cheerleading before or are totally new.

You don't need any experience, just lots of enthusiasm and be between 7 and 11 years old.

Training takes place at Jennyfield Styan Community Centre, Grantley Drive, Harrogate, HG3 2XU

Every Monday (term time) - 6pm until 8pm Competition team (invite only)
Every Thursdays (term time) - 4:45pm until 6:45pm Match team (anyone welcome)
Age range - 7 to 11 years
Type of activities: stunts, tumbling, dance, jumps, team-work, competitions
£6 per session

Harrogate Junior Athletics Club

Harrogate Junior Athletics Club will focus on three main athletic elements during this academic year;

  • running
  • jumping
  • throwing

Along with various games and challenges to improve agility, balance and co-ordination.

We want all athletes to try new activities, challenge themselves and have fun! Our qualified coaches will be on hand to give guidance and advice at every session.

Sessions takes place at Harrogate High School, Ainsty Road, Harrogate, HG1 4AP
Every Wednesday (term time) - 6:30pm until 7:30pm
Age range - 7 to 9 years
£5.80 per session
