THE LOCAL FUND for the Harrogate district is an innovative approach to creating a local, long term sustainable fund to support charitable activity in the Harrogate district.
Applications are now closed for grants of between £200 and £3,000.
Grants are targeted at small organisations with charitable aims where a small amount of money can make a significant difference.
Applicants must be based in and/or working in the area served by Harrogate Borough Council.
The fund aims to grow local giving and provide a sustainable source of funding for small voluntary and community groups, small charities and other types of not for profit organisations provided that they can clearly demonstrate that the purpose of the organisation is wholly charitable. Priority will be given to applicants that can clearly demonstrate how they are working to address the following themes identified in the Two Ridings Community Foundation's vital signs report for the Harrogate district.
- inequality and hidden poverty
- loneliness and social isolation
- health and wellbeing
The deadline for applications was 30 September 2019.
Two Ridings Community Foundation will advise on eligibility and the process. Please contact 01904 435277.
