Would you like to work at the heart of the democratic process participating in various job roles for Parliamentary, Local Government and other elections and referenda? If yes then these roles are for you! In order to deliver democracy across the borough, we employ staff to work in various polling station locations and at the count venue.

The elections team are currently recruiting staff to join the existing talent pool of poll staff to assist on polling day for the following roles:

  • presiding officer
  • poll clerk
  • count assistants

Please note that all appointments vary in location as we cover polling stations across the whole of the borough.

Opportunities exist for people with excellent numeracy and dexterity skills, who are able to follow instructions, pay attention to detail and work quickly and accurately under pressure. You must be able to remain politically neutral.
