How we manage our records
Records are one of our most important assets.
Records management underpins the daily work of the council, supporting decision making and providing evidence of policies, decisions and transactions.
To ensure that records are managed properly, we aim to conform with the code of practice issued by the Secretary of State under section 46 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000
We've adopted a records management policy outlining how we intend to manage our records. We're committed to ensuring that records are accurate and reliable, can be retrieved easily and are kept for no longer than is absolutely necessary.
