Coppice Valley Children's Nursery provides a truly caring environment for your children to play and learn in.
Our friendly, qualified, experienced staff are dedicated to giving the best care, providing a wide range of fun activities all within the framework of the Early Years Foundation Stage. They are all first aid trained and DBS checked for your child's safety.
Every day the children enjoy different indoor and outdoor activities including arts and crafts, dancing, singing, stories, messy play and role play.
They learn and grow through encouragement and praise, and we encourage close links between home and nursery.
Call in and see for yourselves, we are very happy to show you and your little one around.
We care for children from three months to five years of age in our three sections:
- the baby room - for children aged from three months. We provide a warm, comforting, secure start to your baby's journey by concentrating on each babies needs in a stimulating and interesting environment
- the tweenie room - for children aged from l8 months. The curriculum activities become more varied with indoor and outdoor activities
- the pre-school room - from three years old, your child will move up to pre-school where there is greater access to a wider EYFS curriculum in preparation for the transition to Primary School
All the rooms are on the same floor and the children often get together for activities. This promotes a family approach where all the children and staff get to know each other and it also helps with transitions as they move up to the different sections.
We also have a safe secure outdoor play area for children to explore, which includes a willow house, grassy area, sand pit, space to ride bikes and a mud area for lots of lovely messy play.
We incorporate Makaton in our daily routine, a language programme using signs and symbols to support spoken language. It is especially useful for children who have delayed speech or have English as a second language and the children really enjoy using it.
Swimming lessons are also available for three and four year olds during term time at The Hydro.
Our last Ofsted inspection took place in May 2015 when we were rated Good.
