Food at Coppice Valley Children's Nursery

All meals are home cooked on the premises by our resident cook. They are low in fat, salt and sugar.

The children have a morning snack, full hot cooked lunch, afternoon snack and a full tea. Meals are included in the fees.

We aim to provide a healthy diet with a variety of food and our menus are changed on a five week rota. These are available for parents to view outside the kitchen.

Children learn to make good food choices and develop healthy eating habits that will carry them through life.

If you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know and we can accommodate them.

We operate a 5 week menu rotation.

Menu one (lunch and dinner)

Monday

  • spaghetti bolognese and mixed vegetables
  • rice pudding and raisins
  • beans on toast, carrot and cucumber sticks
  • fresh fruit and homemade cakes

Tuesday

  • chicken carbonara, rice and garlic bread
  • jam tart and custard
  • selection of savoury sandwiches (cheese, tuna and ham), carrot and cucumber sticks
  • fresh fruit and yogurt

Wednesday

  • sausages with onions, mashed potatoes, broccoli and carrots
  • natural yoghurt and raspberry coullie
  • cheese on toast, carrot sticks and peppers with humous dip
  • fresh fruit and homemade biscuit

Thursday

  • tuna bake with sweetcorn
  • ground rice and peaches
  • spaghetti hoops, pitta bread, cheesy rolls and carrot sticks
  • fresh fruit and homemade cakes

Friday

  • chicken pie, gravy, new potatoes, green beans and peas
  • apple crumble and custard 
  • selection of savoury sandwiches, cheese cubes, peppers and humous
  • selection of fresh fruit
