Access Innovation: business support package
This support package is available to eligible businesses that are looking to develop new products and processes. Access Innovation can help businesses to access one to one advice, specialist workshops, funding and expertise. Apply online at www.access-innovation.co.uk/contact.
AD:VENTURE provides expert help and advice to high growth businesses in the first three years of trading and to people planning to start a business. Funded by the European Union ERDF programme, support is available to businesses in or locating to the Harrogate district and Leeds City Region. Business and Intellectual Property Centre, Leeds

Business Enterprise Fund
Business Enterprise Fund is a not for profit social enterprise, providing finance and support to SME businesses in the North. Please visit www.befund.org.
The Digital Advantage Project for North Yorkshire offers free to attend workshops and businesses grants of up to £5,000 to fund specialist consultants and address digital issues specific to that company, including: websites, marketing, content writing and analytics.

Self-employed/working for yourself/sole trader
If you start working for yourself, you're classed as a sole trader. This means you're self-employed - even if you haven't yet told HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC).
