Maple Creek is located in the town centre of Masham which is a thriving market town with shops, cafés and a mini supermarket. It also has a daily bus service. This accommodation is for residents aged 60 and above who are able to lead an independent life but who would benefit from the security and support of an Independent Living Officer and 24-hour emergency call service. The facilities include disabled access, communal entrance doors, a secure door entry system, a communal television aerial, modern conservatory room overlooking the rear gardens, laundry room, lounge, garden and parking.
Anyone interested needs to be registered on the council's housing waiting list and will be asked to complete a needs assessment to identify needs and support requirements.
Local connection criteria
All applicants must have a local connection to the district. You will have a local connection if you:
- currently live in the district and have done so for at least two years
- you have previously lived in the district for a continuous period of ten years
- you have close family living in the district, who have done so for at least five years
- you have employment in the district. Employment must be for a minimum period of 12 months, at least 16 hours per week and the main place of work must be within the district
