Later this month (25 October) a new multi-media system will be installed at Stonefall Cemetery and Crematorium in Harrogate.

The new system will improve the overall experience of mourners visiting Stonefall and allow visual tributes in the form of photographs and video as well as offering a wider genre of music through an improved audio speaker system.

The system will also allow services to be recorded and broadcast via the internet for those that cannot attend*.

Councillor Andy Paraskos, Harrogate Borough Council's cabinet member for environment, waste reduction and recycling, said: “A funeral is often a very difficult time for families of loved-ones and we want to ensure the service goes as smoothly as possible and not cause any additional upset.

“This new system will allow us to do this, as well as offer webcasts and recording of the service for people who cannot attend due to distance or illness, something that is often requested.”
